Created with the same free and independent spirit of the Chilean endemic bird after which our winery is named, the winemaking philosophy of 7Colores is to produce unconventional blends without the traditional ties of origin or variety. Descorchados rewarded this different concept with excellent scores.
Since the very beginning of 7Colores, our innovative philosophy has been to show the unique quality of the grapes grown on Chilean soils and how they give life to wines full of flavor, regardless of their place of origin or variety. In short, we seek to go beyond conventions just for the pleasure of delivering tasty wines of superb concentrations, designed for those who love good wines without limits of any kind.
As a result of this, we feel tremendously proud for the noteworthy 94 points granted by the Descorchados Wine Guide to our Icon 2017, a red blend based on Cabernet Sauvignon originated in the Maipo Valley. It is an intense wine of great concentration, with many tasty layers of aromas and flavors.
We are also delighted about the 92 points with which two of our other wines were rated: Single Vineyard 2018 (a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and Carignan) from the Maule Valley, and Limited Edition Carmenère 2017, also from the Maule Valley.
