The vineyard is planted on one of the alluvial terraces that run along the north bank of the Maipo River. Its soil shows different textures along the ground profile, where layers of sandy composition and abundant stones alternate with strata of sandy loam texture without stones. The river bed allows fresh winds to blow in from the mountains and the sea, exerting a moderating influence that cools down the nights and creates a wide thermal amplitude.
