Para el prestigioso cr\u00edtico norteamericano \u201cla diversidad de estilos y cepas de vinos que hoy est\u00e1 ofreciendo el sector vitivin\u00edcola de Chile, especialmente en relaci\u00f3n a variedades mediterr\u00e1neas\u201d, ha resultado toda una revelaci\u00f3n. En l\u00ednea con esta percepci\u00f3n, dos vinos de Vi\u00f1a Morand\u00e9 \u00ad\u2013Mediterr\u00e1neo 2017 y Vigno 2018\u2013 fueron incluidos en su reporte de 2020 que rese\u00f1a los 100 m\u00e1s destacados vinos del pa\u00eds. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Muy en l\u00ednea con la percepci\u00f3n de Suckling acerca de c\u00f3mo los vinos de Chile han avanzado hacia estilos diversos que emplean variedades menos cl\u00e1sicas, es que en esta oportunidad figuran dos vinos de Vi\u00f1a Morand\u00e9 que vienen mostrando, con esp\u00edritu pionero, el potencial de las cepas mediterr\u00e1neas en nuestro pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

Los dos vinos incluidos en el listado de los Top 100 de James Suckling, cada uno con 93 puntos, son Mediterr\u00e1neo 2017 y VIGNO 2018. El primero es una atractiva mezcla que se basa en garnacha, con syrah y carignan (cepas tintas), adem\u00e1s de marsanne y roussanne (blancas), elaborado precisamente en el m\u00e1s puro estilo mediterr\u00e1neo del sur de Francia. Es un vino cuyo objetivo es mostrar el potencial de las cl\u00e1sicas variedades mediterr\u00e1neas, pero plantadas muy lejos de su terroir de origen en el Secano Interior del Valle del Maule. Es un vino frutal y jugoso, de notable estructura, que invita a beber m\u00e1s de una copa.<\/p>\n

Vigno 2018 tambi\u00e9n responde a la diversidad de estilos y variedades que est\u00e1 mostrando Chile. Elaborado seg\u00fan los requisitos que impone la marca colectiva para llevar el nombre Vigno en la etiqueta, este es un vino que proviene de parras antiguas y que se destaca por sus aromas de rosa mosqueta, guindas y cerezas, su jugosa acidez y sus taninos bien estructurados. Un cl\u00e1sico de Vi\u00f1a Morand\u00e9, que hoy rejuvenece con una guarda en fudres de roble franc\u00e9s sin tostar, los que pulen su final de gran equilibrio.<\/p>\n
