We are most pleased to communicate the scores granted to the wines of Morand\u00e9 Wine Group by the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC), the only wine contest with an experience of more than 50 years. <\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Vi\u00f1a Morand\u00e9<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the context of the International Wine & Spirit Competition, Vi\u00f1a Morand\u00e9 received one silver and four bronze medals. Pionero Merlot 2019 earned silver thanks to \u201cits bouquet of orange peel and sweet spices, with luscious black cherries, cassis, and juicy plums. Balanced and layered, it shows real freshness and a touch of vanilla.\u201d The other four medal-winning wines are also part of our Pionero range: Sauvignon Blanc 2020, Chardonnay 2019, Cabernet Sauvignon 2019, and Pa\u00eds 2019.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Vi\u00f1a Vistamar<\/strong><\/p>\n

The IWSC granted one silver and two bronze medals to Vistamar. Silver went to our Reserva Carmen\u00e8re 2019, described as \u201ca juicy and concentrated wine, with profuse cherries and blackberries. It offers a refreshing note of green bell pepper and a backdrop of graphite. A charming Carmen\u00e8re with the characteristic ground coffee notes in its finish.\u201d<\/p>\n

The two bronze medals were also granted to wines in the Reserva range: our Malbec 2019, which was described as \u201cwith plentiful black fruits and fresh acidity, intertwined with notes of menthol and eucalyptus, in addition to calcareous tannins.\u201d And our Pinot Noir 2019, defined as \u201cof good balance and persistence, with a long note of plums backed by a touch of wood charcoal.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Vi\u00f1a Mancura<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mancura won four medals, one silver, and three bronze. Guardi\u00e1n, Carignan 2018, attained silver and was described as a \u201cserenade of roses, lilacs, and lavenders, complemented by sour cherries, raspberries, and strawberries. It feels flexible and silky on the palate, with fresh and crisp acidity and tasty black fruit flavors. Complex, curious, and seductive.\u201d For its part, Mancura\u2019s Etnia range received three bronze medals granted to its Sauvignon Blanc 2020, Chardonnay 2020, and Cabernet Sauvignon 2019.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Vi\u00f1a 7Colores<\/strong><\/p>\n

Vi\u00f1a 7Colores\u2019 Reserva Pinot Noir – S\u00e9millon 2017 won a bronze medal due to \u201cits special character and punch, with plenty of ripe and concentrated plum notes.\u201d The winery\u2019s AOX, High Antioxidant Cabernet Sauvignon was described as \u201cfun and fruity, with soft black currants and a pinch of spices.
