This allows us to have vineyards both in cold climate zones, near the coast and at the feet of the Andes Mountains, as well as in warmes climates. These properties offer a great diversity of terroirs, including alluvial, volcanic, granitic, and clay soils, as well as different planting styles, all of which provide qualities to suit everyone\u2019s tastes.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=\u00bb1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text single_style=\u00bb\u00bb]<\/p>\n<h1><strong>Valle de Casablanca<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text single_style=\u00bb\u00bb]<span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">We were the first to believe in the potential of this valley, and were not mistaken. Today Casablanca is one of the most internationally recognized origins for the quality of its wines. Its main characteristic is the important maritime influence it receives, with morning fogs that penetrate from the Pacific Ocean and act as moderators of the summer temperatures. This favors an optimal development of the vineyards but requires special care to achieve the desired ripeness of the grapes.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=\u00bb1\/2&#8243;][vc_empty_space height=\u00bb130&#8243;][vc_single_image image=\u00bb5243&#8243; img_size=\u00bbfull\u00bb onclick=\u00bblink_image\u00bb][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text single_style=\u00bb\u00bb]<span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">We have two estates in Casablanca: Bel\u00e9n and El Principal. In the first, we grow mostly Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and other red varieties such as Syrah and Cabernet Franc. And in El Principal, located in a cooler area, the vineyards are mostly planted with Sauvignon Blanc, Gew\u00fcrztraminer, and Riesling, summing up a total of more than 130 hectares. The vineyards are planted at a density of 10,101 plants per hectare, at a distance of 1.5 meters between rows, and 0.66 meters within the row.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text single_style=\u00bb\u00bb]<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Valle del Maipo<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text single_style=\u00bb\u00bb]<span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">This valley has one of the longest winemaking tradition in Chile. It enjoys a temperate Mediterranean climate, with dry and hot summers. Its stony and well-drained soils, of alluvial origin and of medium fertility, as well as its climate, favor the development of remarkable red wines, mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon.<br \/>\nIn Maipo, we manage three properties: Romeral, San Bernardo, and El Puntal, the latter located in Isla de Maipo. Our Romeral estate comprises more than 50 hectares, all planted under the high-density concept, from 6,944 to 10,101 plants per hectare. The lower part of the estate is located virtually on the banks of the river, so it features poor, and very stony soils with excellent drainage.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=\u00bb1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text single_style=\u00bb\u00bb]<span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">Our San Bernardo estate covers more than 50 hectares of vineyards located in the borough that bears the same name, at the feet of the Chena Hill, in the very heart of the Maipo Valley. It was planted at high density in 1997, at a rate of 7,000 plants per hectare, trellised to the vertical shoot position, and oriented north-south, 22.5\u00b0 west. It is placed on the third alluvial terrace of the Maipo River, which features a soil profile of gravels and clays, and a loamy structure that facilitates deep root development, both of which are, to a large extent, responsible for the quality of the great Maipo wines.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=\u00bb1\/2&#8243;][vc_empty_space height=\u00bb20&#8243;][vc_single_image image=\u00bb5245&#8243; img_size=\u00bbfull\u00bb onclick=\u00bblink_image\u00bb][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=\u00bb1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text single_style=\u00bb\u00bb]<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Valle del Cachapoal<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text single_style=\u00bb\u00bb]<span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">The combination of both the Cachapoal and the Colchagua valleys make up what is technically known as the Rapel Valley. With a temperate Mediterranean climate, it is a bit more humid than its neighboring Maipo Valley. Our La Moralina estate, which comprises more than 27 hectares of vineyards planted on the foothills of the Cordillera, is located in Cachapoal. Located in the Andean piedmont, the plants receive water directly from the thaws of the mountain range. \u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=\u00bb1\/2&#8243;][vc_empty_space height=\u00bb120&#8243;][vc_single_image image=\u00bb5247&#8243; img_size=\u00bbfull\u00bb onclick=\u00bblink_image\u00bb][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text single_style=\u00bb\u00bb]<span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">During the spring and summer days, the valley benefits from a wide thermal amplitude, softened by the constant breezes that cool down the vines, protecting them from higher temperatures. Most of the soils are deep to moderately deep, but there are also areas of thinner soils. These show a compact subsoil and a profile of abundant angular stones and smoothed pebbles of alluvial-colluvial origin and andesitic and granite composition.\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=\u00bb1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text single_style=\u00bb\u00bb]<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Valle del Maule<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text single_style=\u00bb\u00bb]<span style=\"font-size: x-large;\"> In this valley, rains concentrate in winter and temperatures tend to be a bit lower, although they can reach a broad thermal amplitude between day and night. Its soils show large variations, from alluvial and volcanic to granitic.<br \/>\nIn this valley, Morand\u00e9 Wine Group manages three estates that sum up more than 300 hectares. Melozal and Panquehue stand out for having many old vineyards planted with varieties such as Pa\u00eds and Carignan, which still keep the characteristics of a viticulture inherited from the Spanish conquerors. <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=\u00bb1\/2&#8243;][vc_empty_space height=\u00bb120&#8243;][vc_single_image image=\u00bb5249&#8243; img_size=\u00bbfull\u00bb onclick=\u00bblink_image\u00bb][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text single_style=\u00bb\u00bb]<span style=\"font-size: x-large;\"> That is, head-pruned vines, planted at low density, perfectly adapted to the dry and hot summer weather and its soils of granitic origin and red clays. But there are also other vineyards planted with more classical varieties, intended for different types of production. The Yerbas Buenas vineyard, located on Maule\u2019s foothills, catches the eye for the quality of its fruity and fresh white wines that originate on its alluvial soils and enjoy the cool climate influenced by the Andes.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=\u00bb1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text single_style=\u00bb\u00bb]<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Valle de Itata<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text single_style=\u00bb\u00bb]<span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">In Itata, our vineyards are nestled in the Coastal Range, which shows soft and granitic hills, and soils with a high presence of quartz all along their profile. Its temperate climate gives us the possibility to experiment and innovate with French, Italian, and Spanish varieties adapted to the characteristics of the valley\u2019s rainfed Secano Interior. The Ranquil estate comprises more than 20 hectares of centennial vineyards, planted on its ravines where they grow with multiple exposures.
