To this outstanding recognition, granted by the Tasting Pannel of La Cav Magazine -the most important Chilean wine publication- is added the distinction of Ricardo Baettig as WINEMAKER OF THE YEAR; the election of House of Morandé 2020 as BEST ICON WINE OF CHILE, the selection of Morandé Edición Limitada 2020 as BEST CARMENÈRE and of BESTIARIO 2021 as BEST WHITE BLEND, as well as BEST SPARKLING with Morandé Brut Nature, marking a historic milestone for Viña Morandé.
Viña Morandé lived an extraordinary day last Friday at the annual awards ceremony of the Tasting Pannel of La Cav magazine, the most important wine publication in Chile, which conducts an annual tasting of more than 2,200 wines. Among them, they choose the best wines in each category, in a ceremony that brings together winemakers and managers from the main wineries in the country.
In it, Viña Morandé was the great protagonist. In addition to the House of Morandé distinction as BEST ICON WINE OF CHILE for the second consecutive year, Ricardo Baettig was recognized as BEST WINEMAKER, highlighting his career of more than 10 years in charge of Viña Morandé, stamping his stamp of passion, commitment, quality, and innovation.
Likewise, Viña Morandé received the award for BEST CARMENÈRE and BEST WHITE BLEND, with the wines Morandé Edición Limitada Carmenère 2020 and Bestiario 2021 respectively, and BEST SPARKLING with Morandé Brut Nature, marking an extraordinary day that culminated in the most important award of the event: WINERY OF THE YEAR, thanks to the value of Viña Morandé as a change agent in the Chilean industry and its visible dynamism, as well as its commitment to excellence and innovation.
These important recognitions are added to others received by the winery in recent years, such as Descorchados being named WINERY OF THE YEAR 2022, which undoubtedly marks a historic stage for Viña Morandé, the result of perseverance and conviction of knowing that you are on the right path.
