The Cabernet Sauvignon wines by Morandé Wine Group were granted excellent scores at the Global Cabernet Sauvignon Masters 2021, the competition held by The Drinks Business, one of the most important and prestigious specialized publications in Europe.

This renowned competition relies on high-quality juries and unique tasting processes. Wines are tasted blindly and judged by style and price on their flavor and the winemaker’s ability to achieve the best expression of a particular variety. We are pleased to share the medals by the Global Cabernet Sauvignon Masters 2021 to our wines made from this grape variety.

In the category of Oaked Blends between £10 and £15, our Morandé Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2019, from our Romeral Estate in the Maipo Valley, received a silver medal. The award recognized its “juicy red and black fruits, its firm structure, its enveloping and fine tannins, and its great persistence.”

Additionally, our Morandé Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 also obtained a silver medal for its full body and its ample and velvety tannins. The wine offers a faithful expression of the identity of the Maipo Valley’s terroir through our high-density vineyards planted in the San Bernardo Estate, located at the feet of the Chena hill. The juries described this wine as round, delicious, persistent, balanced, and complex.
